Shimano Joins in Cross Crusade Sponsorship
Shimano Joins River City Bicycles Cross Crusade as Sponsor
Shimano has signed on as a sponsor of the River City Bicycles Cross Crusade, the premier cyclocross series in North America. Each series event will feature neutral technical support from Shimano’s Multi-Service professional mechanics. The service is free to registered event participants to help keep the equipment running as well as the athletes. With spec that reads as though it were copied from a cyclocrosser’s wish list, the neutral pit bikes sport new Shimano Ultegra 6700 along with Dura-Ace Road Tubeless wheels and SPD pedals. In addition to providing technical support to mud-caked ‘crossers, Shimano is providing prizes consisting of Shimano and PRO products to podium finishers.

“We’re happy for the opportunity to be a part of the Cross Crusade because of the energy of the organizers and other sponsors as well as the competitors,” says Dave Arnauckas, Shimano Multi-Service Supervisor. “The fact that this is the best attended cyclocross series around shows the overwhelming enthusiasm and dedication of the participants and gives props to the organization – it’s great to be a part of that.”

The first series event on October 4th hosted a record number of participants and with the next event just days away Shimano mechanics are ready to go.
